Im Laufe der Jahre sind  auch Hostapflanzen unsere Leidenschaft geworden!

Oft merken wir, dass die Garteninvestition in eine Hosta eine gute Idee war.

HOSTA auch Funkien genannt,

sind interessant und dekorativ, vielseitig, pflegeleicht, robust,

beruhigend, langlebig,

 toll zu teilen, meist gesund, ganz einfach eine gute Pflanzenwahl für den Garten.

Sie stehen auch gern in Kübeln, wo die Hosta, von dem Fressfeind

Nacktschnecke, nicht so leicht erreicht werden kann.

Es gibt Minihosta (5-20cm), mittelgroße Hosta (20-50cm) ,große Hosta (55cm-90cm)

und ab 90 cm Hosta very large.

Ihre ganze Schönheit zeigt eine Funkie nach 3-5 Jahren.

Farblich gibt es Hosta in blau, grau, gelb, purpur,rötlich und mit grünen Blättern --

mit weißen, gelben & grünen Rändern

 Schattierungen, Streifen, Tupfen und weiteren Farbmöglichkeiten. 

Die Blätter können gewellt, gezackt oder gedreht sein.

Der Blattschmuck kann  von der Form her, oval, rund  oder länglich sein.

Auch die Blattstiele können lang,  kurz oder farblich hervorgehoben sein.

Gelbliche Sorten sind in der Regel eher sonnenbeständig,

und blaue Sorten lieben eher den Schatten.

Es gibt Ausnahmen!

Weiterhin gibt es duftende Sorten mit weißen,  flieder oder lila Blüte.

Unzählige Sorten kommen jedes Jahr auf den Markt.

Derzeit gibt es ca. 4000 registrierte Hostasorten .

Für uns haben wir entschieden, nur die markantesten Hostasorten zu erwerben,

denn für alle Pflanzen reicht unser Gartenland eh niemals aus.

Wir denken unsere Hostasammlung beträgt auch

schon an die 300 Sorten.
